“NSOROMA” Exhibition Launch and Inaugural Joe Nkrumah Lecture

The event took place at the Dei Center in Accra, Ghana and featured a live silent auction. It was lead by the former mayor of Accra, Nat Amarteifio, with musical tributes by Boaten-Kodua Akyeampong, Africa Sound Project, Nana Baffour Kyeremateng, and Prince Marfo and the Voices of Hope. The event also featured artwork by El Anatsui, Atta Kwami, George Hughes, Lyle Ashton Harris, Senam Okudzeto, Almighty God, Nancy Barton, and Benjamin Offei-Nyarko, in addition to many other artists. Proceeds from the auction went towards supporting the Joe Nkrumah Library at the Dei Centre. Joe Nkrumah was a professor of conservation science and the Conservator of the National Museums and Monuments Board in Accra, Ghana.
