First Economic Lecture Series at the Dei Center
The Nyansapo Economic Lecture Series in Accra is a shared venture of the Dei Centre for the Study of Contemporary African Art and NYU Africa House that brings together high-level leaders from government, business, and academia to share information about important economic issues facing Ghana. A typical gathering will include presentations from prominent Ghanaian thought leaders, followed by dinner and a Q & A. The inaugural event on January 18, 2011, featured Mr. Anthony Pile, chairman of freshly cut fruit company Blue Skies Holdings, who made a presentation to 50 guests on The Blue Skies Story. The goal of the entire lecture series program is to effect change through the sharing of success stories and inspirational experiences of various companies with the objective of promoting economic development in Ghana and Africa as a whole.
