7th Annual Presidential Forum on Africa Tourism
On September 27, 2012, the Africa Travel Association held its Seventh Annual Presidential Forum on Tourism. Co-hosted by NYU Africa House, the forum focused on “The Benefits of Tourism” and attracted the continent’s leaders in tourism and culture for a day-long discussion about how tourism can be used to revitalize and sustain a national economy. This event was held in the Kimmel Center at NYU and featured speakers representing numerous countries in Africa. Audience members asked panelists a variety of questions during the open forum, which varied from the possibility of youth employment in the African tourism sector to ways to facilitate air travel between African countries.
